Tuesday afternoon

So here we are, almost exactly 13 years later and having a day off work to recover from seeing the ophthalmologist yesterday. My eyesight was quite blurry this morning, but it's pretty much OK now, though I still feel like I've got two black eyes.

Sunday afternoon

Tax Time. I hate it. OK, it was tax time four months ago, but I've got an appointment with the accountant on Tuesday morning so I've finally had to get my act together to go poking about in drawers and cupboards for receipts and bills and statements and, after driving about 350km to Newcastle and back yesterday and having gone swimming in the ocean on the way back, I'm knackered. I really should be getting on with it instead of writing this blog but hey, I need a break.

Listening to Brian Eno's Curiosities Vol 1 is quite helpful since it's very relaxing. Not quiet ambient, which can be too relaxing, but just interesting enough. I've downloaded and have been listening to various (Bowie recommended) things by Arctic Monkeys, Animal Collective and TV On The Radio and I must say that TV On The Radio is the only one, on first impressions, that does anything for me. Nicely weirdly jazzy. Animal Collective were interesting too - but a bit Talking Headsy.

I suppose it was inevitable that I'd start a blog eventually. Whether I'll bother to tell anyone of its existence remains to be seen. I've never been shy at experessing my online opinion at various sites and in newspapers, so doing it in my own "personal" online area is, logically, the next step I suppose. We shall see how/if it progresses.

Back to tax time.
